Buying with Comp Door – How it Works

1. Find a door you love

First, explore our range of composite doors and accessories to find the door you love. With over 30 styles, 18 colours, and a wide range of glass features and finishes, you’re sure to find a design that suits your home perfectly.

2. Design your door

Our online door designer makes it easy to visualise your new door. Customise colours, frames types and hardware to create a bespoke design, then upload images of your home to see how your choice fits with your brickwork and architectural features.

    3. Request a quote

Once you finish your design and add it to your basket, fill in the enquiry form and hit submit. You will receive a confirmation email from Comp Door, then we’ll then pass your design to a nearby professional from our trusted installer network. Your local specialist will build an initial price for the project and contact you within 48 hours to share their quote and arrange a site visit.

      4. Arrange your installation

On the initial site visit, your installer will confirm the exact measurements of your entrance, provide a final, fixed price, and arrange a date to install your new door. Fitting dates depend on the installer’s availability, with most installations happening between two weeks and three months from your initial enquiry.

Because every Comp Door is made-to-measure at our UK facility, the initial visit is a vital step to making sure your door fits perfectly. But don’t worry – there is no obligation to confirm your installation there and then. Quote lengths vary depending on the installer, but typically last around 30 days – giving you plenty of time to review the details without any pressure.

      5. On the day

On the day of the fitting, the installers will replace both the door and the frame to ensure a perfect seal and long-term performance. You can help the process run smoothly by clearing the area around your entrance and moving any furniture to give the team plenty of room to work.

Once your new door is securely in place, the installer will take the old door away and handle the disposal for you. They will also clear up any debris and leave the entrance to your home tidy and secure.

You will be provided with three keys as standard, with the option to upgrade to six if you prefer – just let us know at the point of sale. You can also order more keys online using the QR code on the key fob.

Your installer will provide the final guarantee for the installation, and will be available to help with any future maintenance or support.

        6. Aftercare

Once your door is installed, simply wipe down with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water every month.
For the moving parts, lightly apply multi-purpose lubricant to the hinges and locking points twice a year. Our aftercare guide has more information on how to keep your Comp Door in peak condition.
