Security by Design

Finally, ABS is also stamped with the insurance preferred British Kitemark – KM 586153.

ABS locks ensure multi-zone protection by featuring advanced technology to combat against lock snapping, picking, drilling and bumping. At the same time, Active Snap Protection guarantees that if the door is attacked, a hidden lock within the hardened Molybdenum cam will fire into action to create a barrier that would-be intruders just can’t get past.

In other words, with ABS we make sure that security is ‘locked in’, and intruders locked out.

Active Snap Protection

How does the Active Snap Protection system work? If an intruder attempts to snap ABS, an initial sacrificial section will deploy. This allows the lock to still operate from outside using the key on the remaining section but makes it difficult for the intruder to remove the second part of the cylinder. As a result, any attempt to break the lock past the two snap off points will lead to the patented Active Snap Protection activating to totally lock off the cam.

What is more, if ABS has been attacked and snapped from the outside the homeowner can still open and close the door safely and securely from the inside!

The ABS lock includes a unique key code system which the homeowner can link to himself online at the Key Zone or over the phone 24/7 every day of the year.
